Moskenesøya – Reine
Reine is a picturesque fishing village located on the island of Moskenesøya. In this section I will talk about my experience at the Hamnoy bridge, Viewpoint at Å, the accommodation we stayed in as well as restaurant recommendation.

Hamnoy bridge
As we checked out from our accommodation in Leknes, we drove for about 50 minutes to visit the Hamnoy bridge. The bridge is a scenic viewpoint that allows one to capture a shot of one of the iconic Hamnoy background wallpapers of Microsoft.
As one crosses the bridge to the other end, you can also view the scenery in the surrounding area. We were able to take some shots of the seascape as well as the whole view of the bridge.
Viewpoint at Å
After visiting the Hamnoy bridge, we drove about 26 minutes to Viewpoint at Å which is known to be the end of Lofoten road. There is a parking area at the viewpoint area. It is a fairly easy walk up to the viewpoint although in winter, there are some parts of the pathway that are icy, so do be careful! We went there when the sun was setting so we were able to see the sky painted in orange and yellow and the sea spanning across the horizon. It was a remarkable view…

During the night, it is also the perfect place to see the northern lights! This is because the place is pitch black at night, free from any light pollution. Indeed, when we went back at night, we were able to spot the aurora hiding just behind the mountain. However, do note that it is really dark at night so when walking up to the viewpoint, do be careful of the icy parts of the pathway. I suggest bringing a torchlight with you. Moreover, you should also wear thicker clothes, gloves and a scarf as it can be quite chilly at night while waiting for the aurora.
Andøy Vest Rorbuer Reine
Our accommodation for that night was Andøy Vest Rorbuer Reine, located at Moskenesveien 334,Reine, Reine (Nordland), Norway, 8390. We booked a four bedroom house where benefits include free coffee, tea, parking and WIFI.
On the first level, there are two bedrooms and two toilets. It has great kitchen facilities and a spacious dining area. On level two , there is a small cozy area where it has a TV and 3 couches. It is the best place to spend time with your families or friends to watch Netflix and chill. There are also 2 bedrooms on the second level and a toilet. The bedrooms and toilets were clean and it was a pleasant stay overall.

Anita’s Sjømat
Just 2 minutes drive from our accommodation is a restaurant with a rating of 4.6 stars. As we wanted to try Norway’s local delights, we specifically went to Anita’s Sjømat.
One of their main dishes is the Fiskesuppe — a traditional Norwegian soup. The soup was delicious and comforting as it warms up the body especially during winter. The soup contains salmon, cod fish and shrimps where just a bowl of soup is enough to fill our stomachs. Another dish we tried is stated as “Winnie The Pooh” in the menu. It is a world famous fish burger topped with shrimp and salmon.

Moreover, not only could you dine there but there is also a section in the restaurant that has products that one can shop for. We bought some jam, tea as well as dried fish from there. The view outside the restaurant is also remarkable, I really enjoyed admiring the view outside while indulging in the delightful meal the restaurant had served. I highly recommend seafood lovers to come to this restaurant to try out their dishes!
