Austvågøya – Henningsvær
Henningsvær is a stunning fishing village located on several small islands off the southern coast of Austvågøya. In this section, I will talk about the accommodation we stayed in as well as the iconic football field – Henningsvær stadium.
Vågan
Vågan was the last Airbnb that we stayed in Lofoten and was also the best one among all the Rorbu we stayed in. It is located at Banhammaren 1, Vågan, Nordland 8312, Norway.
The house was very clean and had a nice interior design. The kitchen had exquisite culinary gadgets and kitchen tools as well. There are two bedrooms — the kid’s room and the master bedroom.
The highlight of the Rorbu was being able to witness the strongest aurora of the entire trip just right outside the balcony. We were able to take some spectacular shots of the northern lights that were surrounded by a sea of twinkling stars in the sky. Although there was no TV, we were able to occupy ourselves by taking pictures of the aurora from different angles.
I highly recommend staying here if you are planning to see the northern lights. This is because it is really dark at night and the Rorbu is just right next to the sea. Hence, it provides a better opportunity to see the aurora clearer. I would rate this stay a 10/10!

Iconic football field, Henningsvær Stadium
We have come to our last tourist attraction that we visited in Lofoten — the iconic football field, Henningsvær stadium. It is a 4 minutes drive from Vågan. Some people may ask, “ What’s so special about this football field? ” Well, it is one of the most stunning stadiums as it is surrounded by the coastal landscape and it is one of a kind.
However, I felt that there was not much to see, I only spent about 10 minutes taking some pictures. I suggest that this can be a pit stop during road trips.
